According to a Chinese legend, Emperor Shennong was the first one to discover the beneficial qualities of tea. The Emperor only drank boiled water. However, once he was resting below a wild tea tree, when a gust of wind shook the tree's branches and few tea leaves feel into the bowl with boiling water. The Emperor tasted this fresh infusion and was delighted with its refreshing and reinvigorating effect.
In this prosaic way, tea was „discovered”, the most popular drink in the world today, drunk by millions of people.
