Mokate – Trustworthy Employer
On Wednesday, February 28, the results of the 7th edition of the “Trustworthy Employer” competition were announced at the offices of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. The competition honoured companies that stand out with their responsible employment and social policy that is compliant with European standards. The winners included Mokate which received the award in the “internship programmes” category.
Six main prizes were awarded in this year's edition. Mokate SA received the “Trustworthy Employer” award in the “internship programmes” category for creating career opportunities on the local labour market.
Other awarded companies included: Pl2012+ (volunteering), Mlekovita Group (motivation), Polska Grupa Górnicza (education), PKO BP (health) and Poczta Polska (disabled-friendly).
It is worth noting that, at the end of 2016, Mokate received the “Top Employer of the Śląskie Voivodeship" award from the editors of the PulsHR.pl trade website.
The award was received on behalf of Mokate SA by Patrycja Giurko, Mokate Marketing Director.
The award ceremony was preceded by a debate with experts on good agricultural practices. Mokate SA and FAPA Foundation of Assistance Programmes for Agriculture were the partners of the debate. The topics included whether agriculture is still an undervalued area in the application of principles of corporate social responsibility and what impact the European Union policy has had on the improvement of situation in this area.
The “Trustworthy Employer” awards were given by a Committee composed of: Adam Smith Centre, Business Institute, Libertatis Institute, Staszic Institute, Polish Economic Society, Integration and Cooperation Association (organiser of the Economic Forum in Toruń), SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw Enterprise Institute, University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers. The discussions were chaired by the competition organisers, that is representatives of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, Foundation for the Polish Promotional Emblem “Teraz Polska” and Impressarium Agency.
The honorary patronage over the event was held by the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Mokate is a Polish family-owned and internationally recognised producer of coffee, tea and semi-finished products for the food industry.
